The City of Al Capone

125 Shot Dead In Chicago Over Summer

So, the city of Al Capone is essentially back at it.  The only problem is that this is not an “organized crime” related spike.  We can’t reach out and point at prohibition as a root cause for the activity.  I don’t know if the statistics exist but, it would be interesting to compare this summer to like periods during the peak of Chicago crime to see how this compares.

Here we are in the summer of 2008, considering a politician who is a nominee for President of the United States who hails from Chicago, has grown up within the Daly political machine, and has a reputation for “Chicago politics”.  Take that backgound, and add to it some of the indecisiveness, puppet like characteristics, and the “I know what is right for you and my programs will fit you into my mold” messages, if you are not very frightened for this country come November you ought to be.

I can see a huge difference forming between those that live in urban areas that want a socialist government to take care of them, and those in the rest of the nation that better reflect the principles that this nation was founded on.  Today the battle is in the ballot box.  It needs to be won there, and not spill over into another American Revolution.

Are Chicago’s summer of ’08 statistics the results of small town bitter gun owners?  Just how well are those Chicago gun bans working for us?

Draw your own conclusions.

And on the lighter side… “US OUT OF CHICAGO”
