Remember the old “Is it live or is it Memorex”? tag line. Yes, children, way back in the days of audio tape.
Well now you can question everything that you see on that big flat panel LCD screen that you are so fond of. I knew that there was a lot of green screen work taking place in television production but this short video shows you how pervasive it is, and how realistic it can seem. Overall, I think it is a good thing. Production costs come down, and more content is made available. On the flip side, the realism is lost and some of the effects are over the top. Things that are just not that intense in real life. Still the tech is very cool.
