It took me a long time to get past the “ugh, math” phase of my life. Once I buckled down, and figured out differential equations, and proofs, and vector analysis, and that math really could model real life a whole new world opened up. One of the things that most folks don’t understand is that science describes life logarithmically. Particularly when it comes to scales. Take 3 minutes to take a look at this video:
That is how a logarithmic scale works (depending on the base for the scale). But this diagram is pretty cool.
