I was in DC Sun – Tuesday this week. During that time there were a lot of colleagues that were local and without power. The local media coverage was all encompassing. For me, it was one of those meh moments. Power goes out. Yes sometimes for long periods. It is a function of infrastructure. Get on with your life, and survive. Stop complaining about it and just get through it.
Mostly Cajun is in the industry and has a great post up about the infrastructure and what it actually takes to get things back in order. Not a safe, or easy job.
