House Clearing

Scenario:

You come home and find your front door open.  You are not expecting anyone else to be home.  The door frame is splintered… What do you do?

Over at the Cornered Cat, Kathy has a post about that very topic.  It is worth your time to read it, and evaluate your response to that very scenario.

Having run through training scenarios in a number of different shoot houses, clearing is not a trivial experience.  It is high stress, and the stakes cannot be any higher.  If it is a situation where you can wait for a police response then allow the police to do their job.  They will be better equipped, better trained, and will have a full team doing the entry not you running it solo.
