Last Airport Visit of the Year

I am done.  Two weeks with no travel plans at all.  For this I am most grateful.  The last 3 weeks I have spent in 4 different time zones and my body needs to find a rhythm again.

I flew standby yesterday and wound up seated with a fairly large group of BYU students returning from a semester in the Middle East.  They had left Tel-Aviv, and had a really screwed up travel arrangement with stops in Vienna, DC, and Chicago before getting to Salt Lake.  A very nice group, even if they were alternately giddy about being back in the US, and exhausted by their travel schedule.  One of them indicated that they had been awake and traveling for about 36 hours at the point that I ran into them.

I’m just grateful to not have any more trips on the horizon until after the New Year.
