Shooting at Night

There are a lot of folks out there that spend a lot of time talking about, and working up, self defense scenarios and solving them.  This is a good thing.

Last weekend the Midnight Invitational 3 Gun match was run.  The one common thread that I have seen come out of that is, “My self defense guns need work”.  By work, I mean lasers and night sights and in many cases lights.  Even at night there is often a fair amount of ambient light to work with and it can be enough to work from, particularly with a supplemental flashlight.  But, unless you are spending time in the dark working with your weapons and your skills you will not know where you are falling short.

Here is some video from the Midnight Invitational to help give you an idea of what you might be up against.
